ENGIE

A pilot study by Engie, the world’s largest independent electricity producer, revealed skyVac™ would generate astounding annual efficiency savings of almost £13.9m if used at 7,000 of their UK sites. It would also eliminate 100% of the Health and Safety risks associated with working at height.

As a result, skyVac™ was placed a very commendable 2nd, from nearly 700 entries worldwide, in the Engie 2017 Innovation Awards. Yasir Patel, Innovation Development Manager at Engie quoted, “Minimising the working at height risk has historically been very costly. skyVac™ is a multi-use, low cost, high reach inspection and cleaning system which removes the need for out of hours working and costly plant and scaffolding.”

MITIE

The Milton Keynes Mitie branch recently won the contract to clear gutters across 2,500 properties owned by Homecare Housing Association using skyVac™. Currently Mite employ sub-contractors to carry out gutter cleaning, typically charging £75 per house and up to £450 for a block of flats.

Russel Barker Operations Manager of Mitie commented, “For us winning this contract makes economic sense to bring the gutter cleaning in-house. Having now seen the skyVac™ we are blown away by its versatility - we can put this in the hands of our technicians and sleep at night knowing they do not to climb dangerous ladders.”

KUDOS BLENDS

Kudos Blends, is a global supplier of technically driven raising agents, recently invested in a skyVac™ system. As with any large food manufacturing site, the cleaning of high-level dust settled on inaccessible areas of the production site is a challenge.

Sophie Martin, Quality and Procurement Co-ordinator at Kudos commented, “The skyVac™ has been a fabulous piece of kit, reaching all those normally inaccessible places, meaning we can keep on top of the cleaning standards and not have to outsource”.
